If you decide to walk rather than avail of our Complimentary Taxi service, getting here is pretty easy. Our restaurant is located in an area seldom frequented by tourists so (for a change) you will not be hassled on your walk and it will give you a chance to see the real Egypt, rather than the tourist spots you may have already encountered.

Directions:

Go to Luxor Train Station. Enter the station through the right hand door and go through the security gate.

On your left is a downward staircase to a tunnel running under the station so that you can exit at the back of the station.

Once you exit, (there is demolition work going on at the moment as the road is being widened) turn right and after a few minutes you’ll find yourself at the beginning of a very long and very wide street. This is Salakhana Street(or Al Noza Street). Continuing down this street you will pass a variety of supermarkets, coffee shops, butchers, bakers and craftsmen. This is the real Egypt and these shops are seldom frequented by tourists.

After 5 - 8 minutes you will see lots of buses in a bus park to your left - this is the Viking Bus Garage. Take a left and you can't miss us...we have a big pink/peach coloured building (3 stories high) with a sign for "EGYPT WITH MARA" on the very top of the building.  You can see the building and sign from Salakhana St.
